I just bought external enclosure from Welland model MEU2 http: At first I thought that my retailer may be cheating me, but a search for ‘GB’ on google showed that larger HDs being identified at this size is a common problem. Uh, in which case I guess it doesn’t matter since the reason I wanted FAT32 in the first place is backwards compatability. Is it safe to use this drive with ME?

Do they work together? There is a firmware update for some of those, but you have to look hard to find it. Would like to keep the current enclosure coz it was the cheapest and has good ventilation.

Do not leave the store until you have one that recognizes the drive as the full GB it will be around or so as reported by Windows with ordinary operating system facilities, like Disk Manager under Windows.
Will the same hold true when plugging in a USB drive? Its probably a limitation of the usb controller inside the enclosure. Can you guys uzb the pic?

I can’t recall there being any issues with what you want to do. I have questions to you, owners of external m621 IIRC, one retailer had firmware updates that could be applied to most of the boards that run the Oxford chipset in those external housings.
