It actually goes back to when Apogee was a Digidesign partner and they fell out. It also doesn’t matter very much if it the original Duet 2 is detected, as you’ll have no way to use it with Windows. As Vuet said, I don’t know. I think Avid and Apogee just divided the market. So it is with some astonishment that Apogee have calmly announced that they are releasing Windows 10 drivers for some of their old USB windlws.

Surprisingly, cuet worked well and I was able to adjust the buffer size back to 64 samples. I’m not sure the Avid driver will work with an Apogee branded Duet 2.

What’s different from the avid driver and asio4all? Wish they did this a few years ago but happy to have it later rather than not at all….

But indeed they are too late, in the meantime you get interfaces from audient and spl similarly specced and probably with the same sound quality for half the money.

Existing customers will also have access to the download. I always prefer a tabletop audio interface, and those big silver knobs and the OLED display are awesome.
